Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Whisk well to evenly distribute the yeast.
- In another bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, orange juice, and egg until blended.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined with a wooden spoon.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- After the dough has doubled, roll it out on a floured surface. Spread with additional melted butter, then sprinkle with sugar, orange zest, and cranberries.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into 12 rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise again until puffed, about 30 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
- If desired, drizzle with icing and enjoy them warm.
