Doves and Mushrooms
| Ingredients : | ||

| 4 | x | Doves |
| 2 | cup | Fresh mushrooms |
| 4 | tbl | Butter softened |
| 1/2 | tsp | Salt |
| 1/4 | tsp | Freshly-ground white pepper |
| 1 | cup | Condensed cream of chicken soup |
| 1 | cup | Heavy cream |
How to cook :
Boil mushrooms in 4 cups boiling water for 3 minutes.
Drain and transfer to ice water; let stand for 5 minutes.
Drain and slice. Rub doves with soft butter and season with salt and pepper inside and out.
Put into casserole and pour on undiluted soup.
Cover and cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Add cream and mushrooms, mixed.
Bake until mushrooms are tender, only a few minutes more.
This recipe yields 2 servings.
