Malted Milk Cake

| 1/2 | cup | Shortening |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| 1/4 | cup | Malted Milk |
| 1/2 | cup | Cocoa |
| 3 | x | Eggs - Well Beaten |
| 1 3/4 | cup | Flour |
| 2 1/2 | tsp | Baking Powder |
| 1/2 | tsp | Salt |
| 1/4 | cup | Confectioners Sugar |
| 3/4 | cup | Milk |
How to cook :
Blend shortening and sugar together.
Add malted milk and cocoa and mix well.
Add beaten eggs. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and confectioners sugar.
Add to shortening mixture, alternately with the milk.
Pour into two greased and floured 9" layer pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Malted Milk Icing5 1/2 Tbsp.
Butter1/2 tsp. Salt1 1/2 Tbsp. Malted Milk1 tsp. Vanilla2/3 C. Cocoa1/2 C Milk3 C. Confectioners SugarBeat butter until smooth.
Add salt and malted milk, mixing well.
Add vanilla, cocoa, milk and confectioners sugar and beat until smooth.
