Gingerbread and Honey Cake

| 2/3 | cup | honey |
| 1 1/4 | cup | milk |
| 1/2 | cup | sugar (caster) |
| 1/2 | tsp | ground ginger |
| 1/10 | tsp | cloves, ground |
| 1 | tsp | bicarb of soda |
| 2 | cup | flour, plain |
How to cook :
Heat milk and honey until honey is dissolved.
Allow to cool slightly.
Place milk/honey mixture in a bowl, add the sugar and spices and the bicarb of soda.
Beat well. Slowly add the flour and continue mixing until smooth.
Butter a cake tin and dust with flour.
Pour in the batter. The cake tin should be about 3/4 full.
Bake in a hot oven 200C/400F for about 50 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack and ice.
Serve with afternoon tea.
